Hooters of Doral, Kennedy Cafe in Key West closed by state inspectors

MIAMI -

A state inspector ordered the Hooters of Doral to shut its doors after finding rodent droppings and live roaches inside the restaurant last week. Kennedy Café in Key West was also ordered shut last week.

Below are a few of the violations found.

“Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found. By water heater, located in storage area, inside kitchen, 15 + semi fresh.”

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Found in dishwasher area, inside kitchen 10+, central cookline 15+, outside bar area 20 +. Location open to the public at inspection time.”

“Live flies in the kitchen.”

“Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found.7 dry rodent droppings on top of dishwasher.”

“Dead roaches on premises. Around kitchen shelves.”

“Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found 20-30 live roaches near hand wash sink in kitchen.”
