MIAMI - South Floridians are raising funds to help flood ravaged islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
Flooding and landslides caused by heavy rains killed at least eight people and injured five on the eastern Caribbean island of St. Vincent, officials said Wednesday.
Other islands like St. Lucia and Dominica were also affected.
The powerful weather system swept across the islands on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, collapsing bridges and triggering power outages.
