A South Florida man who provided crack cocaine to a 17-year-old girl and used her for prostitution has been sentenced to 27 years in prison.
Judge Milton Hirsch handed down the sentence to Samuel Lowry on Wednesday.
Lowry was convicted in January on one count of deriving support from prostitution, three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and three counts of providing a controlled substance to a minor.
Police said Lowry found a 17-year-old girl in a drug den and took advantage of her by providing her crack cocaine, to which she became addicted. Lowry fed her addiction by selling her body.
