MIAMI -

Those against the proposed budget cuts to Miami-Dade County's libraries are holding a "Save our Libraries" rally on Saturday.

The rally will be held at Concord Library, located at Southwest 40th Street and 112th Avenue, at 2 p.m.

With cuts coming to the library system after Miami-Dade commissioners passed a flat tax rate, 22 branches will close and 251 workers will be laid off.

"People have said that the age of the library is probably ending," Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez said last week.
