MIAMI -

The driver of a school bus that crashed into a building was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon.

The bus was traveling westbound on Northwest 36th Street when it veered into the eastbound lanes, was hit by a van, then crashed into an auto body shop at 20th Avenue.

"It was a big collision, and all of the kids were crying and yelling and everything like that," said Marcus Braxton.

Three children from nearby Miami Bethany Community Service were on board the bus. They weren't injured.

The driver's condition wasn't immediately released.
