MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Andover Middle School, 121 NE 207 St., in Miami-Dade's Miami Gardens neighborhood had about 720 students enrolled.
The school was among the worst on violence in Miami-Dade County public schools. The top 10 schools with the most fights reported were in high-crime areas. The likelihood of becoming a crime victim in Miami Gardens was 1 in 24, records show.

The top 10 schools with the most fights reported had a majority of students who were getting free or reduced price lunch. About 75 percent of students qualified, which was an indicator of high poverty, records show.
The school was also struggling academically. They earned a "C" grade during the 2013-2014 school year, according to Miami-Dade County.
