MIAMI – As of Feb.  13, 2015, there were 638 students enrolled at  Jose de Diego Middle School in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood.

The school was the 5th reporting the most fights in Miami-Dade County public schools and in Florida.

The top 10 schools with the most fights reported were in high-crime areas. The likelihood of becoming a crime victim in Miami was 1 in 20, records show.

The top 10 schools with the most fights reported had a majority of students who were getting free or reduced price lunch. About 93 percent of students qualified, which was an indicator of high poverty, records show.

The school was also struggling academically. They earned a "D" grade during the 2012-2013 school year and a "D" during the 2013-2014 school year, according to Miami-Dade County.
