Prosecutors are putting on their second day of testimony in the trial of the man who allegedly shot and killed Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor during a 2007 attempted burglary.
The trial of 23-year-old Eric Rivera Jr. continues Tuesday in Miami. Jurors on Monday heard opening statements from lawyers and testimony from police crime scene investigators.
One investigator says footprints were found at the crime scene that were later matched to sneakers Rivera wore that night.
Rivera has pleaded not guilty and his lawyer says he was forced to confess falsely to police. Prosecutors say that confession was voluntary and leaves little doubt about his guilt. Rivera faces life in prison if convicted.
Four other Fort Myers-area men were charged, one of whom has pleaded guilty and may testify.
