MIAMI – A man was taken to a hospital after his car crashed into Biscayne Bay off Fisher Island.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they found the man, in his 40s, swimming in the water. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.
Firefighters said the man seemed confused when asked what happened and later told rescuers that he had become disoriented.
A security guard witnessed the crash and called 911.
Miami-Dade police are investigating the cause of the crash.
The car remained submerged in the water Tuesday afternoon.
