MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man who was running from police Saturday drowned in a canal.
Officials said mall security called police after the man was seen shoplifting.
That man then ran from police, jumped into a canal and swam halfway across before drowning.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were on the scene to remove the man's body from the canal.
No other details were immediately released.
