MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – High school football players rushed to the ground on Friday night, after there were reports of shots fired in the stadium.
The game was at the Southridge stadium, 11250 SW 192nd St., in South Miami Heights.
Miami-Dade County Schools Police spokesman Raul Correa said they arrested one man, who was not a student at either one of the schools.
Luis Gonzalez who was covering the game for the South Dade News Leader reported the score was 33-7, after South Plantation got their first score of the game. There were about 10 minutes left in the game when he tweeted there was a shooting.
"Police officers with assault rifles are on scene," Gonzalez said on Twitter.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported there were no injuries. A bullet damaged a car, according to authorities.
