Doctors told Mitchell's family that the teen went into cardiac arrest after contracting a viral infection. They also determined that Mitchell had the heart disease and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

Mitchell suffered a large amount of swelling to his brain, but the family is hopeful that he will recover.

Palm Beach Suns FC head coach Eduardo De Souza saw Local 10 News' original report. He told the Boca Raton Tribute that his heart "was compelled to help."

After calling the Miami Beach Police Department, De Souza thought the best thing to do was involve the Palm Beach Suns. According to the Boca Raton Tribute, the Suns will be donating all of its ticket profits to Mitchell's family during the team's upcoming game versus the Florida Adrenaline.

The game takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday at West Boca Community High School. For more information, click here.
