South Fla. man accused of taking infant son to have no contact with child

Bond set for Perry Fletcher Sr., who will have no contact with 6-month-old son

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Bond was set Sunday morning for a 52-year-old man accused of taking his infant son.

Perry Fletcher will not be able to have any contact with his 6-month-old son, authorities said.

In bond court, Fletcher's bond was set at $44,000. He is charged with aggravated child abuse, using false information to pawn items and five counts of dealing in stolen property. A judge also raised his bond on the child abuse charge, doubling it to $15,000.

Latricia Johnson, the boy's mother, said Fletcher took the boy to a cousin's house.

Police said Fletcher left their Wilton Manors home with the boy early Thursday. Police said he has a history of drug use and was traveling on foot with the child.

Johnson was concerned about the safety of her baby, who has asthma and needed medication.
