South Fla. pool builder sentenced on grand theft charges

Keith Stuart accused of stealing $30,000 from customers

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A South Florida pool builder described as a crook by dozens of homeowners was sentenced Monday on grand theft charges.

Keith Stuart pleaded guilty last week in Martin County. He was accused of taking roughly $30,000 from two homeowners, but never finishing their pools.

Stuart was sentenced to 30 months probation and 500 hours of community service. He  was also ordered to repay his victims.

Stuart's company, Nationwide Pools of Pompano Beach, was shut down last year by the attorney general's office.
