DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a group of thieves who attacked and robbed a man who was sitting outside a Deerfield Beach neighborhood clubhouse.
Newly released surveillance video shows four young men approach Cedric Aspilaire on Dec. 1 outside the Pompano Lakes Townhomes’ clubhouse at 321 NW 46th St. in Deerfield Beach.

The thieves, who were wearing bandannas to cover their faces, snatched Aspilaire's Kindle Fire tablet, cellphone, skateboard and backpack.
When he tried to stop the robbers, Aspilaire got kicked and punched. At one point, the thieves struck Aspilaire across the back with his own skateboard, deputies said.
According to BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter, the men left in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle that was waiting on Northwest 46th Street.
Carter said the SUV might be a Toyota.
