MIAMI – Police have released surveillance video of three teenagers they believe shot a man during a home invasion in Miami, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
The teens, who police believe are about 15 years old, were captured on surveillance cameras from the apartment complex on Northeast Fourth Court near San Simeon Way.
According to detectives, Bryan Tomy Perez, 20, and Sebastian Antequera, 21, were sitting in Perez's enclosed patio Monday when they saw three black teenagers loitering in the apartment complex
Police said Perez confronted the teens, who forced him inside his home and shot him as he tried to close the sliding glass door behind him.
Antequera was not injured in the shooting.
Police said the teens came back to the home while Perez was in the hospital and stole several items, including a safe, a TV and other electronics.
