MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -

Surveillance videos shows a vandal spraying graffiti on a homeless assistance center.

The video, dated 9:02 p.m. Monday, shows a man spraying a bull's-eye the door and the letters "KKK" on the building plaque at 555 17th Street. The man mills around outside the building before spraying the graffiti.

"Obviously, it's poor quality and if you don't know this person, you probably won't recognize him on the street, but it's very important as far as putting a time of the crime, direction of travel after he committed the crime," said police spokesman Robert Hernandez.

"We actually have staff that comes in at 6 o'clock in the morning who identified it," said Code Compliance Director Robert Santos-Alborna.

On Tuesday morning, similar graffiti was found blocks away at the Scott Rakow Youth Center, a Jewish ritual bathhouse, and a condominium.

A camera at the youth center didn't reveal any leads.

"May be just a kid that doesn't know any better, doesn't know -- doesn't understand the repercussions," said Santos-Alborna.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
