FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Authorities in New York believe a man wanted for a 1992 murder is in South Florida.

Wade Arthur shot and killed a family friend in Brooklyn after a dispute over a woman, according to the New York Police Department.

Two years later, he was arrested on a drug charge in Boston but used an alias and a warrant hadn't been issued for his arrest.

NYPD detectives said family members of Arthur and the victim said he was in South Florida.

Friends said he was spotted at a party in Brooklyn in 2009, but left before police officers arrived. Others said he showed up at a carnival in South Florida in 2011.

Detectives believe he may use Wayne Williams or Antonio Benjamin as an alias and now has dreadlocks.
