HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. -

A suspect was wounded in a police-involved shooting Thursday afternoon in Hallandale Beach.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn on South Federal Highway.

Sky 10 was above as a man could be seen in a stretcher being tended to by paramedics.

Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue spokeswoman Yvonne Feijoo said paramedics transported a man with a left arm injury to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Police said officers were involved in an "enforcement operation" about 4:15 p.m. when something led the officer to shoot the suspect.

The bumpers of a maroon SUV and silver car were pressed together, and a bullet hole could be seen in the windshield of the car.

No officers were injured.

Police did not immediately say what led to the shooting.
