Suspected Palm Beach County serial rapist arrested

Authorities say Baltazar Gabriel Delgado Ros fled to Guatemala after attacks

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A suspected serial rapist in Palm Beach County is in custody after being captured in Guatemala.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and Palm Beach County state attorney on Thursday announced the arrest of Baltazar Gabriel Delgado Ros.

Authorities said he has been charged in connection with five sexual assaults between April 2009 and September 2011.

Delgado Ros was extradited back to the U.S. from Guatemala on Wednesday night.

CNN's Tory Dunnan reported that Delgado Ros was in the U.S. illegally and fled to Guatemala after the last victim was attacked.

Authorities said he cut off his hair to disguise himself.

Delgado Ros was recently arrested on a sex crime in Guatemala, and a DNA sample from that crime matched DNA taken from the Palm Beach County assaults, WPBF-TV reported.

The PBSO took to Twitter in announcing Delgado Ros' arrest, tweeting, "We got him."

He was being held without bond.
