MIAMI - The two suspects shot in a police-involved shooting at a northwest Miami-Dade flea market were identified Monday.
According to police, a home invasion was reported in the area. The homeowner then followed the suspects, identified as Lebron Warren and Michael Parks, to the shopping center and told police the men were in a gold minivan.
When two officers, one in plain-clothes and the other in uniform, approached the suspects, Warren put the van in reverse, slammed into a police unit and crashed into other cars.
The officers opened fire, killing Warren, 23, and injuring Parks, 21, according to police.
Parks was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
