MIAMI – Miami-Dade police detonated a suspicious package found a few blocks west of Miami International Airport.
The piece of luggage was found in the 3100 block of Northwest 74th Avenue about 11:20 a.m. Monday.

Police forced workers to evacuate the area during the investigation.
