MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. -

A sport utility vehicle crashed into a southwest Miami-Dade County shopping plaza Monday.

Sky 10 was flying over the Trail Shopping Plaza at the corner of Southwest Eighth Street and 125th Avenue as a maroon Ford Explorer could be seen sticking partially through the building.

Miami-Dade police said an elderly man drove his SUV through an Estrella Insurance office about 11 a.m. All four people who were inside the vehicle, including two children were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police said one of the children suffered minor cuts and bruises. The other child suffered a possible fracture but is in stable condition.

No one was injured inside the business, but all employees were sent home for the day.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Employees at Estrella Insurance said the driver is a client of theirs.
