Advisory lifted between Sunny Isles Boulevard, William Lehman Causeway

MIAMI – Officials say a precautionary swimming advisory for a part of the Florida Intracoastal Waterway has been lifted.

The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department said on Saturday that the advisory for the waterway between north of Sunny Isles Boulevard, at Northeast 163rd Street, and south of the William Lehman Causeway was lifted.

The department said this includes the waters of Maule Lake, Little Maule Lake and Dumbfoundling Bay.

Test results from the affected waters show that bacteria levels have returned to normal.

As a result, the department said the precautionary advisory that was established on Sept. 30 for this area and other nearby waters is no longer in effect.
