HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - A South Florida teen has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a Hollywood man.
At approximately 8:18 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a 911 call in reference to a disturbance with a weapon at 6140 Fillmore Street.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, 57-year-old Robert Cahill, dead inside his apartment. Police say he had suffered severe head trauma.
According to police, Joseph Valcarcel, 18, was still at the scene and was detained as part of the investigation.
Valcarcel was later charged with murder and taken to the BSO main jail.
