Teen with stab wound enters Lauderhill restaurant, asks employees to call 911

14-year-old taken to Broward Health Medical Center

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – A teenager was taken to a hospital after he was stabbed Wednesday in Lauderhill.

Police and paramedics were called to Junior's Café 'N' Grill, 3455 W. Broward Blvd.

Employees said a 14-year-old boy walked inside the restaurant with a stab wound to his back, sat at a booth and asked them to call 911.

The boy was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

Local 10 News investigative reporter Ross Palombo said the teen wouldn't reveal how he was stabbed.

A woman who was concerned about her son arrived at the restaurant shortly after the stabbing to speak with detectives.

"My son isn't home yet, and he should have been home by now," she told Local 10 News.

The woman said she was concerned because children at nearby Parkway Middle School are always fighting.

The victim's identity hasn't been released.
