PLANTATION, Fla. – Police in Plantation are trying to identify a man who snatched a gold chain off another man's neck last week.
The theft occurred July 7 at a 7-Eleven convenience store.

Plantation police Detective Phil Toman said a customer was filling out a lottery ticket near the counter when the man approached him from behind and yanked the gold chain from around the customer's neck.
Surveillance video captured the theft.
Toman said the culprit and his accomplices ran out of the store with the gold chain.
The customer told police his necklace was worth $2,500.
Anyone who recognizes the thief is asked to call police at 954-797-2100.
