Thieves pull up to Miami house, steal purse from car

Police say men smashed rear-window to unlock car

MIAMI – Police are searching for two men who broke into a woman's car while it was parked in front of her mother's house in Miami this week.

The incident was reported about 10:30 a.m. Monday on Southwest 21st Street and 14th Avenue.

Police said the victim, Stephanie Navarro, parked her gold Lexus in front of her mother's home. Moments later, two men pull up in a gold Chevrolet Malibu.

Police said surveillance video shows one of the men breaking Navarro's rear window and stealing her purse.

According to detectives, the men then tried to use the victim's debit card at an Exxon gas station on Coral Way.

The thieves are described as two black men between the ages of 30 and 35. Police said one is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. The other is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
