FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – California is the nation's snobbiest state, according to a ranking of the snobbiest mid-sized cities in the country.

The Movoto Real Estate blog came up with a list to determine which cities have the most snobs.

And get this -- it seems there may be a lot of snobs among us in Florida. The city of Fort Lauderdale made the cut and took the No. 6 spot.

The nationwide online real estate database compiled the list based on a variety of factors, including median home price, percent of population with a college degree and country clubs per capita.

According to the survey, the snobbiest of the snobby live in Pasadena, California. Thousand Oaks came in at No 2.

Rounding out the Snobby Top Five were Alexandria, in Virginia, at No. 3; Naperville, Illinois at No. 4; and Santa Rosa, California, just north of San Francisco, at No. 5.

Glendale, California came in at No. 7 and Fullerton, California ranked No. 10.

Cities also won points if they had few fast food restaurants.
