Traffic plans released for Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run

MIAMI – Miami police detailed traffic closures ahead of the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run on Thursday.

The race begins at 6:45 p.m. and ends about 8 p.m. A festival will take place after the race at Bayfront Park.

• Starting on Biscayne Boulevard and Flagler Street the run travels South on Biscayne Blvd to Biscayne Blvd Way / SE 4^th Street and West bound to SE 2^nd Avenue then South over the Brickell Avenue Bridge to S.E. 13^th St, West on S.E. 13^th St. to S.W. 2^nd Avenue, North on SW 2^nd Ave to N.W. 1^st Street, East on N.W. 1^st Street to N.E. 2^nd Avenue, North on N.E. 2^nd Avenue to N.E. 4^th Street, East on N.E. 4^th Street to Biscayne Blvd culminating at Bayfront Park.
• Brickell Key residents may use Brickell Bay Drive and SE 8^th Street from the South to enter or exit Brickell Key.
• Miami Dade Transit busses normally traveling along the affected road closure will be detoured. Please check with Miami Dade Transit for further information.

Streets will reopen about 9 p.m.

About 25,000 people are expected to participate in the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run. A portion of the proceeds from the run will benefit United Way.

Participants have been asked to leave bags at home following the Boston Marathon bombings.
