Sky 10 was above the scene as the front of the silver Nissan Altima was pressed against the Florida East Coast Railway train stopped on the tracks. The crossing gate was resting against the roof of the car.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said the driver was able to get out of the car in time.

A tow truck was used to remove the car.

The intersection was reopened less than an hour later.
