Tropical Storm Dorian forms

MIAMI – Tropical Storm Dorian formed in the east Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday morning.

At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dorian was about 410 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. It was moving west-northwest at 21 mph.

Forecasters said Dorian was continue moving west-northwest during the next few days.

Dorian was expected to weaken Thursday as it moved over cooler water.

Dorian is the fourth named storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.
