BIG PINE KEY, Fla. – State troopers are asking for the public's help in finding a vehicle that may have been involved in a hit-and-run Saturday on Big Pine Key.
Monroe County sheriff's dispatchers received a call at 10:34 p.m. Saturday from someone reporting an injured man alongside the road on Avenue A and First Street.

When deputies arrived, the man was unconscious with an apparent head injury.
Deputies said the victim was taken to Fishermen's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a dark minivan, possibly a Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was last seen headed southbound at the time of the accident, deputies said.
Anyone with information about this hit-and-run incident is asked to call local law enforcement.
