Vic's Picks: Breakdown against the Bills

Victor singles out the best/worst from Sunday's game

MIAMI – OFFENSIVE LINE

The worst pass protection unit in all of football looked solid against the Bills pass rush – until the meltdown with minutes left in the game. Let's put that aside and give the much maligned offensive line and their coach, Jim Turner, some credit. Clearly there were some changes made during the bye week to improve their many flaws.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Bills' quarterback Thad Lewis will be hurting for the next few days. The Dolphins defensive line brought consistent pressure and sacked Lewis 4 times. Also, Jelani Jenkins almost decapitated the Bills' QB  and will likely be fined for the hit. In the third quarter, with the Bills driving, the Fins D was able to hold Buffalo to a field goal and preserve Miami's lead. Way to go, guys.

 RUNNING BACKS:

Once again, Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas were non-existent. This running game is pathetic and ranks near the bottom of the league for a reason. The next time that either of these guys breaks a tackle will the first for the unit. Remind me why they let Reggie Bush walk again?
