Viewing planned for car wash shooting victim

Errold Peart shot, killed near his car wash

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A viewing is scheduled for a man who was shot and killed while trying to stop a robbery near his car washing business in Miami Gardens.

A viewing for Errold Peart will be held at Royal Funeral Service at 17475 NW 27th Avenue from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday.

Police said Peart, 59, tried stopping two teens from robbing a man on Sunday evening. As the teens ran away, one fired a shot, hitting Peart in the head.

Police believe the two shooters left the area in a four-door, grey Nissan.
