VIRAL: canine honors fallen officer

Picture worth a thousand words

BARDSTOWN, KY. – One photo thoroughly describes the bond between a person and their dog.

Jason Ellis, a 33-year-old officer from Lexington, Kentucky, was killed last Saturday in a suspected ambush. His canine partner, Figo, held vigil during Ellis's  funeral. During the services, a photographer with the Lexington-Herald Leader, captured Figo lifting his paw on top of his owner's casket. He bowed his head slightly, clearly mourning his loss.
