Weather across nation causes flight cancellations, delays

South Florida airports affected by winter weather

A blizzard moving across the country is causing flight cancellations and delays at South Florida's airports.

As of 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, 44 flights were delayed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Thirty more have been cancelled.

Many of those flights are going to or from northern cities, such as Philadelphia or Newark, NJ. Others affected were either going to or from cities such as Port-Au-Prince and Santo Domingo.

Early Wednesday, Miami International Airport had reported 25 cancellations and 1 delay.
