Herrin said deputies were called to the Calusa Campground Resort & Marina. A security guard told deputies that he was investigating a report of a disturbance and was sitting in his golf cart when a man, later identified as Soccol, got into a pickup truck parked in front of the golf cart and backed into it.

Soccol pulled the truck forward, parked it, then got back into the truck and backed into the golf cart a second time, Herrin said.

When deputies arrived, they found an intoxicated Soccol, who refused to speak with them, Herrin said. Witnesses corroborated the security guard's story, and Soccol was taken into custody.
