Woman arrested after telling deputy man 'dressed like an Arab' forced her to take 'kill pill'

Deputies ask woman if she was sure she didn't just have 'vivid dream'

MARATHON, Fla. – A 30-year-old woman from Marathon was arrested Monday after she claimed that a man "dressed like an Arab" broke into her boyfriend's home and forced her to take a "kill pill," authorities said.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Deputy Deborah Johnson was called at 1 a.m. to Fishermen's Community Hospital, where she met Kristin Skivers.

Herrin said Skivers claimed that she was at her boyfriend's home Sunday night and woke up at 11 p.m. to find a man "dressed like an Arab" holding a gun to her head.

Skivers said the man forced her to take a blue and white pill, which he called a "kill pill," Herrin said.

According to authorities, Skivers said her boyfriend fought with the intruder and chased him out of his home.

Skivers said her boyfriend told her to drink milk and try to make herself throw up, Herrin said.

Skivers walked to a neighbor's house after throwing up and asked the neighbor to take her to the hospital.

Herrin said Skivers described her attacker as a man with dark hair and a full beard. She said he was dressed in a long dark blue garment and was wearing a turban on his head.

Herrin said deputies repeatedly asked Skivers whether she had taken medication that night and whether it might have caused her to have a "vivid dream."

Herrin said Skivers insisted that the story was true and signed a sworn statement.

Deputies later spoke to Shivers' boyfriend, who they said told them that Shivers takes prescription medication and often goes to the hospital. He said Shivers woke up that night and asked him to take her to the hospital, and he said "No," and went back to sleep.

The man told deputies that no one entered his home that night or attacked Skivers or him.

Skivers was arrested on a charge of making a false report to law enforcement.
