West Palm Beach crash leads to gunfire, chase

Martin County deputies: 3 suspects in custody

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Three people were arrested by deputies with the Martin County Sheriff's Office after a West Palm Beach crash that led to gunfire and a police chase, authorities said.

The crash happened around 1 p.m. Saturday at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and Seventh Street, ABC-affiliate WPBF reports.

Marion County deputies said the three people who were in a stolen minivan were shooting at other motorists on Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach.

The trio fled with a group of law enforcement officers behind them. Deputies were waiting for the minivan as it moved into Martin County.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies pursued the suspects and were able to stop the stolen van using a PIT maneuver on State Road 713 in Palm City just as the minivan was attempting to move toward a busy intersection.

All three suspects were taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. The pursuit was caught on dashcam video (seen below).

No injuries were reported, WPBF reports.
