A West Virginia fugitive captured in Florida is facing a new charge.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office says a Fayette County grand jury charged 34-year-old Brett David Bowyer of Scarbro on Tuesday with failing to appear for sentencing.

The former high school guidance counselor had pleaded guilty in October 2011 to possession of child pornography. Goodwin's office says Bowyer didn't appear in federal court for sentencing on May 30, 2012.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Bowyer was captured in Brevard County last week after he failed to move over for an officer conducting a traffic stop.

Bowyer's case was featured last fall on the TV show "America's Most Wanted".
