A Weston man was indicted Tuesday for production and possession of child pornography.
Thomas Edler, 48, was charged with three counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
During an investigation in February by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the South Florida Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, numerous images of child pornography were discovered to be taken at Edler's residence, according to the indictment. In April, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and detectives discovered that numerous child pornography images were taken with a camera belonging to Edler.
If convicted, Edler faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
