Whole Foods opens in North Miami
500 customers go to store on opening day
A Whole Foods Market in North Miami held its grand opening Wednesday.
A band greeted about 500 customers lined up around the block.
"Everybody is happy and welcoming and [it's] a great move for the community," said Cyril Robin. "It's really cool."
"I'm such a big fan," said another woman. "I mean, I have to drive every week to Aventura or South Miami just to get a few things."
"The great thing about Whole Foods Market is that we are all about local -- not just food, but also our employees," said spokesman Jeremy Jones. "We have a little over 100 employees that are from the North Miami area that are working in this store."
