The "Wings For Life World Run" is all about running for those who cannot.

All of the proceeds from the race will go toward raising awareness for spinal cord injuries.

Sherea Rice, who participated in Saturday morning's race, said, "It's wonderful, it makes you feel good to do something for someone else."

Runners were not the only ones who participated. Even those personally impacted with a spinal cord injury did their part by racing in their wheelchairs.

"Wings For Life" Ambassador Brooke Thabit said, "I suffered a spinal cord injury myself. The cause is near and dear to my heart."
