Sabrina Bullard, who works at Wash World at 5750 NW 27 Ave., told Local 10 News that Taylor left after Bullard called police. She said her son, Adolphus Melvin, 24, was visiting her when Taylor returned and used a spray bottle to douse Bullard with some sort of liquid.

Bullard said Melvin stepped in her, and Taylor left the business, got into her car and drove it into the store, hitting Melvin in the process.

"(I said), 'Why did you stand there?' (And he said), 'Mom, I was trying to help. I was protecting you,'" Bullard said.

Bullard said Melvin suffered a fractured leg.

Taylor, who police said is a regular at the laundromat, is charged with battery and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in a serious bodily injury.

She is being held in jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
