Deputies said a Nissan Pathfire with New York license plates was parked in the driveway. It had been reported stolen from Suffolk County, New York, in June.

The woman said she found Pardon, a woman and two children making a meal with her pots and pans, ABC affiliate WPBF reported.

When deputies arrived and made contact with Pardon, he told them that he was renting the home, the affidavit said. Pardon said the SUV in the driveway was his that he had purchased from a friend, who is a car dealer, but he couldn't provide any proof of sale, the affidavit said.

Pardon, whose last name was also spelled "Padron" in the report, also faces a grand theft charge in New York.
