Woman sexually assaulted during robbery

Broward Crime Stoppers offering $3,000 reward for information leading to arrest

WILTON MANORS, Fla. – Wilton Manors police on Monday released a sketch of a man wanted for sexually assaulting a 56-year-old woman during a robbery.

The incident happened Aug. 14 in the 2900 block of Northwest 9th Terrace. Police say the robber forced the woman into her home, demanded money, sexually assaulted her, then left.

"We're all very concerned that someone would just come in and do such an act here in this neighborhood that's all very friendly, we're all very close to each other, and consequently we're very, very upset with this," said Wayne Boles, who lives in the neighborhood. "We feel very threatened, all of us."

Police described the man in his mid 20s as 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build and short hair. He was last seen wearing a black tank top, red shorts with a stripe down each leg, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
