SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Zoo Miami's newest resident is ready to say hello to the world!
The zoo announced that the park's brand new baby giraffe will make its first appearance on Wednesday.

The unnamed male giraffe was born at the zoo on October 30 weighing a whopping 152 pounds. He already stands close to 6 feet tall.
This is baby number 3 for the mother whose name is Mia. The father is a 16-year-old male named Fezzik.
Zoo officials say that since giraffes give birth standing up, the baby falls about 4-6 feet when they're born.
