The first episode of 'The Franchise: A Season With The Miami Marlins' is scheduled for Wednesday night at 10 on Showtime.

Cameras follow manager Ozzie Guillen, closer Heath Bell and slugger Giancarlo Stanton among others throughout the seven-week run on the network.

Episodes include behind-the-scene footage of Marlin executives, the team's colorful manager and their star players as they go through a disappointing season.

Thousands of hours of film were shot since January.  Miami pitcher Mark Buehrle said the constant presence of cameras has not been a distraction.
