LeBron James makes fifth straight trip to Finals, this time with Cavaliers

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – LeBron James is playing in his fifth consecutive NBA Finals, but this time it's with the team he spurned to go to Miami and then rejoined two championships later.

James returned to his home state last summer when he decided to wear a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey. Now the Cavaliers (53-29) are in the Finals for the first time since 2007 and only the second time in the team's history.

Both trips to the Finals came with James leading the charge, but his first foray was a short one as the Cavaliers were swept by the San Antonio Spurs in four games.

This time their opponent is the Golden State Warriors, who are making their first Finals appearance since 1975.

The Warriors (67-15) had the best record in the NBA, and their 67 wins were the most in franchise history.

Golden State is 12-3 in playoff games this season and 7-1 at home. Cleveland is 12-2 in the postseason and 6-1 at home.
